How people use focus booster

I am completing a PhD

I use Focus Booster to track the time I spend studying. I was looking for a task management app that would track pomodoros. Although Focus Booster doesn't yet allow me to write to-do lists, I have found it to be flexible in other ways.

My favourite feature is being able to add time manually when I have completed work away from the computer.

I run a successful business

Focus booster is an essential productivity tool for me.

While it is great that focus booster allows me to track my time for billing purposes, the biggest benefit for me is that by simply using the tool, knowing the timer is on, helps me stay on task. My work output and quality of work improves greatly.

I am coaching others to be productive

As an easily distracted person, I need focus booster to maintain my focus on tasks, as well as keep track of the time spent on those tasks or clients.

As a productivity coach, setting myself up with the tools to be successful is what helps me to build and grow my business.

What is the pomodoro technique?

The pomodoro technique is a well proven time management methodology. Its success is based on the idea that working in short but intensely focused blocks of time is great for productivity.

The technique recommends 25 minute sessions with a 5 minute break after the first three and a 20 minute break after the fourth. This cycle will keep you fresh. Aside from learning the pomodoro technnique the next best thing you can do while using focus booster is learn to manage distractions better.

Will I receive payment advice and receipts?

We email invoices to you after every payment we process, whether it be monthly or yearly. You can also view your invoices in the web app subscription area once you are signed in.

We also notify you by email when you card has expired, a payment won't process or if you have a yearly renewal payment due soon.

What is a session?

A pomodoro session, sometimes we just call them sessions, is the interval of time for which you focus while using focus booster. Typically it is 25 minutes but depending on the individual it might be 15 minutes or even 90 minutes. Although we don't recommend anything longer than that, otherwise you aren't going to remain fresh throughout the day.

How many sessions do I need per month?

If you work a solid 8 hours, a 9am - 5pm type work day, whereby you are doing 25 minute sessions, with a 5 minute break and a longer 20 minute break after the fourth session, you will be able to fit in a maximum of 14 sessions.

Not everyone will need focus booster all day every day, but as a rough guide, if you plan to do fairly solid days, you could complete more than 300 sessions in a month.
