This Privacy Policy describes how Focus Booster collects, uses, stores and secures the personal information you provide when using Focus Booster. It also describes your choices regarding use, access and correction of your personal information.

This privacy policy applies to all personal data processed in Focus Booster, which typically includes pomodoro sessions along with any personal data used to create an account. We typically process:

  • Billing information (last 4 digits of a credit card number and expiry).
  • Client names and hourly rates (as added by you).
  • Session data (date, time started and duration as added or recorded by you).
  • Any other type of data we may ask to improve your education of how to use Focus Booster (job type, familiarity with the pomodoro technique).

All payments and payment data submitted on our site is handled through Stripe.

We restrict access to personal information to a small group of Focus Booster employees who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve our service. These individuals are bound by confidentiality obligations and may be subject to discipline, including termination and criminal prosecution, if they fail to meet these obligations.

Children's privacy

No part of our website is structured to attract anyone under 13.

Erasing, accessing and updating your personal data

If we process your personal data, your Focus Booster profile and preference settings enable you to:

  • Update and correct your personal data.
  • Delete all your personal data that we process on your behalf (by deleting your account).

When you delete your account, we do the following;

  1. Immediately, securely archive all data associated with your account (including personal details and session data), so it can no longer be accessed.
  2. After 30 days, securely and comprehensively delete the archive.

The reason for the 30-day delay before deleting your account is to allow for a change of mind. If you would prefer we delete your account immediately please email us using the contact details at the end of this page.

Additionally, if we process your personal data, you may have the right to ask that we limit our processing of your personal data, and you may have the right to object to our processing of your personal data. You may also have the right to have your personal data exported in a commonly-used, machine-readable format. To exercise such rights, where applicable, please contact us using the information in the How to Contact Us section of this privacy policy.

Who owns your data

You own the data associated with your account. Focus Booster provides the application for you to record, store and report on that data. You can download all the data you have created in Focus Booster using the session report export at any time.

If for any reason Focus Booster decides to discontinue the service, all users will be contacted by email and their account data will be securely deleted from our servers in a timely manner.

Communications

You may sign-up to receive email or newsletter or other communications from us. If you would like to discontinue receiving this information, you may update your email preferences by using the “Unsubscribe” link found in emails we send to you or by contacting us at the contact information below.
