Beta Testing v2.2

Welcome to the focus booster v2.2 beta testing team! We are thrilled to have you onboard.

As you know we recently pushed a new version of focus booster live, version 2.1. We have moved quickily to make fixes and our next round of improvements, which include;

  • v2.1.0 fixes
  • better notifications
  • make clients optional
  • make all sessions record, regardless of labels
  • extending log in timeframe, currently it logs out after the browser is closed
  • clear the session label field when it is clicked in

Please refer to the email titled "v2.2 beta testing" for the current download and web app links.

Also there are some known issues listed below. Most of these are platform issues which are awaiting further improvement from Electron.

  • the mini timer is resizing when moved in Windows 10 and old Mac
  • the Edge the timer cursor is left aligned instead of centered
  • In Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 the mini timer freezes when moved, seems to be a retina/high res display
  • on Mac the mini timer doesn't drag so well when clicked above the time display, works fine when clicked under it though
  • the timer display in IE11 web app is not centred

Send any feedback, ask any questions or report any bugs to Alice on alice @ focusboosterapp.com.

Thanks for taking part in our exciting improvements! We look forward to your feedback.

As we release new beta versions we will add updates below.

Update 14 Nov - beta 5

We are only one more beta version away from launching! With this beta you will notice that the sessions you do in the beta timers will only be visible in the beta web app. Previously this was only the case for the sessions done without a client or a label all other sessions were also visible in the live version. When we put v2.2.0 live we will move all your sessions over to live so you don't lose any data. Any questions please let me know.

Desktop app

  • The desktop app now requires you to be signed in to use it.

Web app

  • When your web session dies, a window will popup asking you to sign-in again. You won't loose any data, as after you're signed in again, the last action will be repeated.
  • We have tried to extend the length of time you remain logged in for. Please let us know if you don't notice a difference.
  • We have changed our plans. We now have three levels. You might notice this in the 'manage your subscription' area. Those who are currently on a plan, you will remain on the same one, at the current price, it includes all the features of the professional plan.
